Digital Paintings

Two of my digital paintings from this year (using Arial on this site is making me weep a little). The two dudes are Lёva and Shura from Bi-2, a Russian rock band. The chick is my buddy Tegan, who is also in graphic design and also often would rather just draw pretty pictures than create something with a definite purpose and function.

Please pretend the type isn't super fuzzy and gross in the Bi-2 painting. I guess its not a color the internet likes.

I ran out of mature internet names

And so I chose "jellyfishgobloop." I don't actually know what that means because I don't think jellyfish are known for making noise but I like jellyfish because they squish and I like the sound "bloop."

Currently my portfolio is hoted on Carbonmade and yes I kind of took the username from a song title. Oh well. My graphic design work and my non-design work are both on there, with a bit of process when available.

Anyway I'll be putting art and process up here eventually, maybe some actual blogging/whining, who knows.

All of the typeface options available kind of offend me in their boringness. Couldn't they have at the very least included Helvetica? Which is kind of trendy and stuff but whatever. At least they don't have comic sans and papyrus.
